Nights like this, the lonely is here
The lonely stalks, walks and moves with me
Slowly at first, creeping, sneaking
Wanting more, craving more.
Like fire seeking oxygen
Like moths to flames
Slowly circling
Then closer and faster
The lonely seeks me, for I heed its call
I hear it from within, calling me,
breathing down my neck
It's warm breath sliding under my skin
It's sirens song singing me to succumb
Convincing me to give up what I have
what I've worked hard for,
To have what I've desired for so long.
and within that moment the lonely has it's way
I fall slowly into it's embrace
and with that the lonely is gone....
